About Fund of Developing of Russian Ballet Theatre

Fund was founded in 1999, as a community organization and has a goal to support and develop Russian art and widen international relationships. Fund holds its programs in and outside the country, accomplishing international business in music and ballet theatre. Fund is in partnership with organizations like Russian Academy of Theatre Art - GITIS, children's studios, choreographic colleges and ensembles, Russian ballet groups, including soloists of Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Russian State Ballet. In repertory there are performances like: "Swan Lake", "Thousand and One Night", "Carmen", "Fire Bird", "Romeo and Juliet", "80 days around the World", "Tales of Russian Ballet" and more.

President: Vitaly Ahuondov Ahundov Vitaliy was born in Russia. In 1977 he finished Bakinsk Choreographic School of Ballet. That same year he was invited as a principal dancer to Azeirbayzhansk Academic Ballet Theatre of Opera and Ballet, where he performed principal roles in ballets like: "Swan Lake", "Nutcracker", "Don Q.", "Giselle", "Sleeping Beauty", "Legend of Love", and others. In 1984 Ahundov V.V. won 2nd prize at the National Ballet Competition, and in 1985 in a National Choreograph Competition he won 1st prize. The same year he was given a title of Honored artist of Azeirbayzhan. In 1990 he was invited in the theatre "Russian Ballet" (direol - National artist of USSR B.M. Gordyeev) as a principal. With big success he was presenting choreographic art abroad: Australia, England, Germany, USA, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Sweden, Belgian, and others.

Along with performing career, he has been a choreographer, producer and teacher of many performances, programs and ballet's miniatures for over 25 years. In ballet performances he creatively worked with famous ballet artists and choreographers of the country, and is also a choreographer-producer in movies and television. In 1996 was invited to Moscow National Academy of Ballet and Choreography as a teacher of partnering class. In 1998 finished with honors Russian Academy of Theatrical Art - GITIS, where he was invited as a teacher of ballet faculty. In 1999 created ballet theatre "GITIS" and Fund of Developing Russian Ballet Art, where he is the president. From 2000 he has been a professor of Russian Academy of Theatre Art and has been working as a dean of the ballet faculty. V.V. Ahundov has writings touching the problems of choreographic art. He has been a member of the jury of nationwide competition of ballet artists. In 2004 he was given an honored title of academic of the Nationwide teaching academy.
